It must be hard being a vegetarian in Brazil. As anyone who’s traveled to the region can attest, the country’s national diet is almost exclusively meat. In the trailer for the upcoming Brazilian flick The Cannibal Club, however, it looks like certain members of the elite have taken their carnivorous desires to terrifying extremes!
Look for The Cannibal Club in select theaters on March 1st, followed by a VOD release on March 5th from Uncork’d Entertainment. Give the trailer a spin at the top of the article and the synopsis below.
Synopsis:
Otavio and Gilda are a very wealthy
couple of the Brazilian elite who have the habit of eating their employees.
Otavio owns a private security company and is a notable member of The Cannibal
Club. When Gilda accidentally discovers a secret from Borges, a powerful
congressman and the Club’s leader, her and her husband’s lives are in grave
danger.
Widely regarded as one of the goriest films in years, The Cannibal Club is written and directed by Guto Parente; the film stars Tavinho Teixeira, Ana Luiza Rios, and Pedro Domingues.
