Exclusive Images From DEATH HOUSE Director Harrison Smith’s Upcoming Feature THE SPECIAL

Currently shooting just outside of Philly is Death House director Harrison Smith’s latest feature The Special. The film is based on an original script by Mark Steensland and James Newman. Filming has been taking place for a week and a half and the plan is for production to wrap on February 8.

When Jerry Harford discovers what he believes to be his wife having an affair, his best friend urges him to fight fire with fire, with horrific results. Harford begins a nightmarish trip down a surreal rabbit hole that gives Fatal Attraction a dark spin.

Smith tells us, “This is a horror-noir style film. It will have a unique feel and look as the main character’s life slowly spirals out of control and he descends into something worse than madness.”

Below are non-color corrected stills from the film, which aims to have a polished final cut this summer.

The Special stars Davy Raphaely (Camp Dread, Zombie Killers) Sarah French (Death House, Rootwood), and Damian Maffei (The Strangers 2). It is produced by Doug Henderson and Alexander Bafer of Brick Top Productions, with Felissa Rose as associate producer. All practical FX are being done by SOTA FX and Roy Knyrim.
