SLIPKNOT Drummer Shares Shocking Pics from Recording Session for New Album

Slipknot is still in the studio putting the finishing touches on their latest album which “maggots” (aka Slipknot fans) suspect is dropping this June. As proof that they are (literally) putting blood, sweat, and tears into their new batch of tunes, drummer Jay Weinberg shared a somewhat shocking picture from a recent recording session.

It features a snare drum completely splattered with blood! It includes the caption:

“In case you’re wondering what kind of album we’re making”.

Jay Weinberg has been the drummer for Slipknot since original drummer and band co-founder Joey Jordison departed the band in 2013. Jordison left Slipknot after suffering for years from an undiagnosed case of acute transverse myelitis that eventually caused him to lose all use of his left leg (though he has since recovered).

We’ll be keeping our ears to the ground in order to bring you all Slipknot-related news as details emerge. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, check out the video for “All Out Life”, released last October and widely believed to be one of the tracks on the new album.
