Alexandre Aja’s Eco-Terror CRAWL will Horrify Theatergoers This Summer

The “extreme” French filmmaker behind the 21st Century shockers High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes (among others) has a new film hitting theaters this summer: Crawl (not to be confused with the 2011 horror movie of the same name) will arrive in the US beginning August 19th, 2019. We don’t have a trailer yet, but Aja’s pedigree, not to mention the fact that Sam Raimi is producing, already has our hopes set sky-high!

Synopsis:
A young woman, while attempting to save her father during a Catagory 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators.

Aja co-wrote the screenplay for Crawl with Michael Rasmussen and Shawn Rasmussen; the film stars Kaya Scodelario, Barry Pepper, and Ross Anderson. We’ll keep you up to date on all Crawl-related news as details emerge, so stay tuned!
