Celebrate a Post-Apocalyptic Holiday Season With THE LAST OF US PART II’s Yule…Log?

I think pretty much the entire gaming community is in full agreement that Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II is amongst the most anticipated titles rumored to be coming out in 2019 (nothing has been confirmed but speculations are running high). The chance to once again visit the relationship between Ellie and Joel in the remnants of human civilization is precisely what many, including myself, have wanted for years. Plus, how can people not be excited for a sequel to a game that won nearly 150 various awards, making it one of the most celebrated titles in video game history.
So, while we bide our time and twiddle our thumbs, the folk over at Naughty Dog decided that a small gift for the holiday season was in order, although it’s not what many were expecting.
Above is a two-hour “yule log” video set in the world of The Last of Us Part II, except the “log” is actually a burning car, because of course it is. As PlayStation has put it, sit back and relish the experience of, “…a cozy post-pandemic atmosphere…complete with fire effects and the sounds of soothing rain.”
Y’know what? I’m into it. I just wish a bloater came and sat by the fire for even a few minutes. That would’ve really made my day!
