We have some good news for fans of the new NBC series “Grimm”. The network has ordered up a full season of the show, and that’s not all. They’re also giving it a test run in the Thursday night, 10:00 PM slot. Read on for all the details.

Per Variety the series, which melds procedural drama and horror elements, has been a godsend for NBC on Friday, a tough night for all of broadcasters to sustain programs. It’s up 50% in its 9:00 PM time slot over the same period last year in the 18-49 demo, where it is averaging a 2.3 rating/7 share.

Now here’s where it gets interesting. The proud peacock is going to give “Grimm” a shot to pick up more viewers with a one-time run in the 10:00 PM time slot on Thursday, December 8. It will be an original episode, and another first-run ep will air the following night in the series’ regular time slot.

Inspired by Grimms’ fairy tales, “Grimm” follows a detective, played by David Giuntoli, battling supernatural forces. It is produced by Universal Television with Hazy Mills Prods. and GK Prods. Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner, David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf, Naren Shankar, and Norberto Barba are executive producers.
