Here Are Some Last Minute Horror Gift Suggestions For the Holidays!

‘Tis the season for gifts, giving, and overeating until our bellies burst. Hey, we all need a good excuse to go to the gym in the first week of January, right? But what if you haven’t got those first two parts down yet? What is a horror fan supposed to do when the holidays are upon us and you haven’t found that perfect gift for your loved one(s)?!

Luckily, we here at Dread Central are here to help you with some last-minute shopping ideas for your horror-loving pals so that you can make them feel all warm and special for the holidays! From comics to apparel, baubles to cards, knick-knacks to accessories, the list below has something for everyone and we bet that there’s a horror fan in your life that will love you forever (even from beyond the grave!) should you hook them up from one of these delightful stores! Plus, several are from independent artists, so you’re supporting the very crowd that you yourself are a part of. How great does that make you feel?

Eibon Press
First up is the fine folk over at Eibon Press, who create comics that include an official sequel to Lucio Fulci’s Zombie, an amazing take on The New York Ripper, and a gor(e)geous adaptation of The Gates of Hell, on top of a whole lot more! With comics and superheroes being the big thing these days, this is a surefire way to make someone happy!

Nick Noir
Nick Noir is a store that has a little bit of something for everyone. In terms of apparel, what makes this store so great is that there are clothing options for women as well as for men, something the ladies know is a difficult thing to find! And if your wardrobe is full enough to the point that you don’t need anything else clothes-wise, why not look at some original oil paintings, pillowcases, or other items scattered throughout?

Revenant FX
HORROR! FREAKIN’! GARDEN GNOMES!

Make your garden as terrifying as it is lovely! Scare your neighbors! Traumatize the local children!

Seriously, do I have to say anything else?

GOREnaments
Maybe you’ve decided that these holidays are all about sending a thoughtful message on a wonderful card. However, you’ve run into one small problem: you don’t have the right kind of card upon which to jot your beautiful prose! Luckily, the folks over at GOREnaments have horror-themed holiday cards that are perfect for the season!

Additionally, they have some lovely ornaments that you can hang from your tree, should you want to add a touch of evil to all that holly jolly greenery.

Nancy’s Jars
Perhaps the horror fan in your life is one of those curmudgeonly folk who sits back in their chair and waxes poetic about the “good ol’ days” when they’d go to rental stores and walk through the horror aisle to admire all the wonderful covers. For these folk, I highly recommend Nancy’s Jars, which takes VHS tapes and converts them into lamps! With dozens of options available, there’s no reason you won’t be able to find a film that’s perfect for the occasion!

Terror Threads
One of the best things to do during this season is to either host or attend an ugly sweater party! It’s an opportunity to show your love of the holidays while staying warm and poking fun at the gaudy, garishness of it all! So why not throw some horror into the mix with some of Terror Threads delightful “Killer X-Mas Sweaters”? They’ve got sweaters sporting recognizable faces from Evil Dead 2, Puppet Master, and even our very own Terrifier!

Hallows Eve 365
You know how some people argue about whether The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie? HallowsEve365 has decided that there’s no point in having that discussion and you can have the best of both worlds with their delightful evil pumpkin-themed ornaments! Hang these on your tree during Christmas and then put them up around the house during Halloween! Who cares what people think so long as you love what you’ve done with the place!
