New GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Poster is Blue Da Ba Dee Da Ba Daa

On May 31, monsters will rise and homage will be paid to the king of them all: Godzilla.

To celebrate the seemingly far-off release, Legendary has released a brand-new poster in anticipation of a second trailer, which should be hitting the web any minute now, for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The new poster, which can be seen to the right, features our main boy bathed in blue with his spinal ridges glowing as he readies for his atomic breath, all while Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown looks on from a distance.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Directed by Trick ‘r Treat and Krampus‘ Michael Dougherty, who cowrote the film with Zach Shields, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, and Zhang Ziyi.

This film has been rated PG-13 for sequences of monster action violence and destruction, and for some language.
