Patrick Wilson Promises THE CONJURING 3 is Unlike Anything We’ve Seen Before

The Conjuring Universe has become a bona fide horror juggernaut of the 21st Century. In addition to the two Conjuring movies (released in 2013 and 2016 respectively), we’ve gotten two Annabelle movie spinoffs and, most recently, Corin Hardy’s The Nun which focused on the demon Valak. Expect The Conjuring Universe to keep expanding in the coming years with Annabelle 3 arriving this summer and The Conjuring 3 eyeing a 2020 release date.

Principal production just recently wrapped on Annabelle 3, which is now deep into post-production. Though they’re not the focus, the film will feature Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as real-life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Wilson recently sat down with our friends at Digital Spy to talk about what fans can look forward too—and it’s definitely not more of the same.

“We just finished Annabelle 3 which is cool. It’s nice to dip our toes into that franchise a little bit. The Conjuring 3 will be different than anything we’ve seen, which is fun.”

Look for Annabelle 3 to hit US theaters on July 3rd; the film is written and directed by Gary Dauberman and, in addition to Wilson and Farmiga, stars Mckenna Grace, Madison Iseman, and Katie Sarife. We don’t have a trailer yet, but we promise to bring it to you just as soon as it hits the internet. Stay tuned and check back often.
