While we still don’t have an exact release date for Season 2 of Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, today brings us our first look at a planned holiday special starring the teenage witch and her motley crew of friends and family; A Midwinter’s Tale hits the streaming service beginning December 14th.

You can give the trailer a spin embedded at the top of the article, along with the synopsis below. If you’ve yet to experience Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for yourself, check out the synopsis and trailer for Season 1 at the bottom of the article.

“A Midwinter’s Tale” is set during the Church of Night’s celebration of the winter solstice. On the longest night of the year, families gather around the Yule fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. The holidays are also a time for guests and visitors — both welcome and unwelcome — and you never know who’ll drop down the chimney.

A Midsummer’s Tale will star Mckenna Grace (The Haunting of Hill House, Annabelle 3) as a younger version of the teenage witch.

This adaptation of the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” tale is a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror and the occult. In the reimagined origin story, Sabrina Spellman wrestles to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family — including aunts Hilda and Zelda — and the daylight world humans inhabit. Kiernan Shipka (“Mad Men”) leads the cast in the titular role of the show that is based on a comic series of the same name.
