Slipknot to Headline Hellfest This Summer Suggesting New Album Drops in June

2019 will be an exciting year for Slipknot fans. Not only have we been promised a new album in 2019, but a Slipknot side-project will also drop an album of brutal tunes. While we don’t have exact release dates for either, news hit the Internet late last night that the band’s signature Knotfest will join forces with Hellfest for an epic show in Clisson, France on June 20th, 2019; tickets go on sale this Friday, HERE.

In addition to Slipknot, the full lineup for “Knotfest Meets Hellfest” will include Rob Zombie, Sabaton, Amon Amarth, Papa Roach, Powerwolf, Behemoth, Ministry, Sick Of It All, and Amaranthe. You can check out the announcement video above.

While it’s just conjecture, fans are postulating that Slipknot’s new album will hit online and brick and mortar retailers before the concert, meaning we may finally get that sucker in our hands sometime in the next six months. It’ll be the first new album for the 9-member band since 2016’s 5: The Gray Chapter, an album written following the death of original Slipknot bass player Paul Gray, who died of a drug overdose in 2010.

We’ll be keeping our ears to the ground in order to bring you all Slipknot-related news as details emerge. Stay tuned!
