Fans of the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina can look forward to “A Midwinter’s Tale”, a holiday special arriving on the streaming service on December 14th. We also have an entire new season of Sabrina to look forward to (now that a potential lawsuit filed by The Satanic Temple has been resolved) and, today, we’re getting our first look at what’s in store when Sabrina and company return in 2019.

Season 2 will arrive on Netflix on April 5th, 2019, at which point we may or may not learn why the teenage witch’s hair went from blond to platinum in the Season 1 finale!
Synopsis:
“A Midwinter’s Tale” is set during the Church of Night’s celebration of the winter solstice. On the longest night of the year, families gather around the Yule fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. The holidays are also a time for guests and visitors — both welcome and unwelcome — and you never know who’ll drop down the chimney.

Synopsis:
This adaptation of the “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” tale is a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror and the occult. In the reimagined origin story, Sabrina Spellman wrestles to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family — including aunts Hilda and Zelda — and the daylight world humans inhabit. Kiernan Shipka (“Mad Men”) leads the cast in the titular role of the show that is based on a comic series of the same name.
