Based on the book by John Bellairs and starring Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, and Owen Vaccaro, the film hit US theaters last September, where it thrilled young and older genre fans alike. Ten-year-old Lewis goes to live with his oddball uncle in a creaky old house that contains a mysterious `tick tock’ noise.
