Three RESIDENT EVIL Games Heading To The Nintendo Switch Next Year

Capcom are showing a lot of love towards the Nintendo Switch, because they’ve announced that not one, not two, but three Resident Evil games will be heading to the system next year. The publisher confirmed on Twitter that Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 will all be launching on the Switch in 2019, and promised that more details would be coming soon.

It’s currently unclear if the three titles will be released separately or if they will be bundled together, or even if they will be available physically or only as downloads. The tweet also did not clarify if it was referring to the original 1996 version of Resident Evil or the 2002 remake (which was subsequently remastered). So at this point, we have a whole load of questions, and very few answers.

Either way, we’re huge fans of Resident Evil round these parts, so we’re glad that one of our favorite horror gaming franchises will be given the chance to shine on Nintendo’s innovative hybrid console. Especially given the fact that Resident Evil 4 is widely considered to be one of the best video games ever made. If this news doesn’t convince you to buy a Switch, nothing ever will.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners also have a lot to smile about, because the highly anticipated remake of Resident Evil 2 will be released on both systems on January 25, 2019.
