See It Now: Pauly Shore Like Never Before in Horror Short SIN CITY PSYCHO

Don’t fuck with The Weasel!

For a fresh spin on the adage “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” check out Sin City Psycho, a short horror film written and directed by comedian Pauly Shore, a staple of the 1980s who appeared in films like Encino Man and Bio-Dome. Shore stars as Donavan, a madman who prowls Vegas with his sister Ione, identifying and dispatching those who come specifically to cheat on the spouses!

Shore torments his latest victim in a swanky suite, embodying elements of Frank from Blue Velvet, Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, and just a splash of Jason Voorhees. Of course, it’s quintessentially Pauly Shore, meaning Sin City Psycho is often hilarious—whether it’s trying to be or not!

Shore previously talked about the project, revealing:

“I’ve always wanted to play a psychopath, what actor doesn’t? I’ve been known for comedy my entire life, so it was really fun to dig in and do something unexpected. I came up with this premise a while ago; I’ve always loved Dexter, American Psycho, and Silence of the Lambs.

“I thought filming something in Las Vegas regarding an unfaithful spouse made sense because people go to Vegas all the time and always say when they do bad things, ‘whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,’ that’s not the case for my character Donovan, he doesn’t play that shit.”

Sin City Psycho co-stars Sharon Gardner as Tiffany, a woman of loose morals who has a secret of her own.
