Trailer & Poster for Gripping Documentary BLOODLINES: THE ART AND LIFE OF VINCENT CASTIGLIA

It’s often metaphorically stated that artists bleed for their creations and/or that blood, sweat, and tears are key components. In the case of Vincent Castiglia, though, the sentiment is literal. Documentarian John Borowski (H.H. Holmes: America’s First Serial Killer) dives deep in a gripping exploration of the artist’s work in Bloodlines: The Art and Life of Vincent Castiglia.

Synopsis:
Vincent Castiglia paints surreal images exclusively in human blood. He began doing so as a form of self-healing following a troubled childhood and painful existence. From darkness, however, came light, and Castiglia’s story is one of inspiration and hope, providing proof that art can heal and serve to inspire others.

The documentary includes interviews with Margaret Cho (who commissioned Castiglia to paint her portrait in blood), Gregg Allman, Damien Echols, Kerry King, and Slayer’s Gary Holt (among others). Filming locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Louisiana, Chicago, Oregon, Singapore, and Switzerland. Look for Bloodlines in select theaters and VOD platforms beginning November 13th.
