We just let you know one of the top up-and-coming horror directors we keep close tabs on here at Dread Central, David Bruckner’s new film The Night House has just been announced. And now we have word on another of our must-watch up-and-comers Joe Begos.
Begos, for those who might not know, is the talent behind the camera of such recent cult hits as The Mind’s Eye and Almost Human. His new film is called Dragged Into Sunlight and the cast has just been announced via Deadline.
Dora Madison (Friday Night Lights), Tru Collins, and Rhys Wakefield (The Purge) will topline the film with George Wendt (Cheers), Abraham Benrubi (The Belko Experiment), Chris McKenna, Graham Skipper (Sequence Break) and Jeremy Gardner (The Battery) rounding out the cast.
The film is written, directed, and produced by Begos along with Josh Ethier. Dora Madison, Graham Skipper, and Caroline Metz also serve as producers.
A brilliant painter is facing the worst creative block of her life (Madison). She turns to anything she can to complete her masterpiece, spiraling into a hallucinatory hellscape of drugs, sex, and murder in the sleazy underbelly of Los Angeles.
