I swear there’s gonna come a day when we open up a special Guillermo del Toro news section here on Dread Central. To say the man is prolific is an understatement! Sit back, kids! A Midnight Delivery is on its way!
According to Variety Brian Kirk (“Game of Thrones”) has been brought on to helm Universal’s thriller Midnight Delivery with Guillermo del Toro producing through his Del Toro Productions. Neil Cross penned the script based on an idea by del Toro. Gary Ungar is exec producing.
The film follows a father who becomes a drug mule to save his son’s life.
Universal’s executive vp of production Scott Bernstein and director of development Anikah McLaren will oversee for the studio. Production is planned for next year after Cross turns in his latest draft.
So far it doesn’t sound very Dread worthy, but we’ll keep an eye on things to see how it all pans out.
