We already let you guys know that DC has an all-new Swamp Thing TV series in the works with James Wan producing and Gary Dauberman (IT) and Mark Verheiden writing. And today we have word via Deadline that Len Wiseman will be helming the pilot episode.
Wiseman is best known around these parts for directing most of the Underworld films along with the pilot for Lucifer and FOX’s Sleepy Hollow.

Swamp Thing is based on the DC characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. The project hails from James Wan’s Atomic Monster in association with Warner Bros. Television and is set to premiere in 2019 on the DC Universe digital subscription service.
Synopsis:
Abby Arcane investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.
