AFM 2011: Rodgrigo Cortes Looking to Revolutionize Filmmaking with EmergoMore early news coming out pre-AFM because, you know, there’s not enough going on right now. Buried director Rodrigo Cortes has another spooky trick up his sleeve. One that he promises will change the movie-watching experience altogether. Read on for the 411.

“Shot entirely in English, ‘Emergo’ is the descendant of ‘The Blair Witch Project’ and ‘Rec,’ but breaks away from tradition by revolutionizing filmmaking altogether. All types of cameras are used – video, HD, 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm – as we follow scientists’ footsteps through a haunted house, casting a frightening spell over the audience. Brace yourself for this terrifying experience!”

If he flies a skeleton over the crowd during key scenes, we’d be ecstatic. Emergo stars Kai Lennox, Michael O’Keefee, Gia Mantegna, Rick Gonzalez, Fionna Glascott, and Francesc Garrido.

Let’s hope it delivers on its promises.
