It’s time for Dark Tower fans to start breathing some sighs of sweet relief, as producer Brian Grazer has a lot of good news for you folks out there looking forward to the film adaptation of the Stephen King western-supernatural saga.

Grazer tells IndieWire’s Playlist, ““We found a way to cut out $45 million out of the budget without changing the scope and actually giving it a good ending. In the $140 million draft, the ending wasn’t quite as satisfying. Now, we’ve got $45 million, $50 million out of the way and a really satisfying ending. It’s gonna get made.”

So wait a second … what he’s saying here is that originally the flick had a bloated budget and a sucky ending. But now cheaper is not only the way to go but it’s also better. Oh, Hollywood. You confuse us on so many levels. Either way … good news. I think. Anybody seen my ice pack?
