The James Wan-produced horror flick The Children has gotten itself a shiny new title, The Curse of La Llorona, and we have something on tap that sure to chill you on this hot summer’s day. Look for it in theaters on April 19, 2019.
Linda Cardellini, Patricia Velasquez, Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, Roman Christou, Raymond Cruz, and Sean Patrick Thomas star. The film was written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis. Wan produces via his Atomic Monster production company alongside Gary Dauberman and Emile Gladstone, while Michael Clear serves as executive producer. Michael Chaves directs.
The Curse of La Llorona will be distributed through New Line, which has been the home for Wan’s Conjuring universe, including the Annabelle films as well as the upcoming spin-off The Nun.
The story follows a social worker who, while investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children, discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy.
