Jurassic Shark Preparing to Make You Chum

Did you see that story in the news today about the cyclops shark that was discovered? You just know that’s going to be turned into a Syfy original movie in the next 24 months. In the meantime, a Jurassic Shark is rising from the depths to take a bite out of shark movie watchers.

Filmmaker Brett Kelly has been a busy little beaver in the world of low budget b-movies the past few years, churning out sci-fi, horror, and superhero genre fare with titles like Prey for the Beast, She-Rex, and Iron Soldier. Back in 2008 he remade Attack of the Giant Leeches. It seems in this day and age if you’re a genre filmmaker, you will at some point make a killer shark movie. Brett Kelly’s time has come.

When an oil company unwittingly unleashes a prehistoric shark from its icy prison, the Jurassic killer maroons a group of art thieves and a group of college students on an abandoned island.

Acting newcomers Emanuelle Carriere, Christine Emes, and Celine Filion constitute the chum.

The production company behind Aliens vs. Avatars is behind this one so I wouldn’t expect to see Jurassic Shark on Syfy anytime in the future. Regardless, I’m always up for a fun shark flick.
