Due to various reasons surrounding a personal situation of mine, there was to be no Brainwaves this week, meaning we’d have missed two weeks in a row. Sometimes the stars just refuse to align.
Then came a message to our hotline: “Call us back immediately. We need help,” sobbed a woman I’ve come to know as Hazel Marie. “My daughter sees a demon in her sleep every night. I’m here with my phone right now, and we just can’t… It’s in the closet!”
Hazel actually left us several desperate messages, each one more chilling than the next, even claiming that her 12-year-old son had died in his sleep.
This could mean one of three things… either A – Hazel, if that is indeed her name, is having some fun at our expense, B – she’s in need of someone to talk to as a means to deal with her grief, or C – she needs the help of a professional in the field, and if that is the case, I will personally make sure that she gets it. Only one thing is for certain: Given the urgency in her words, this could not wait for any problems I was having to clear themselves up.
