Recently we let you guys know that Hulu dumped Andy Muschietti’s TV series adaptation of Joe Hill’s hit graphic novel series, Locke & Key. And today we have word that Netflix may be picking up the series after seeing the pilot and 7 previously scripted issues.

A representative from Netflix reached out to That Hashtag Show to let them know that the deal is not yet final, however, when asked for an update about the status of discussions, David Ozer, President of IDW Entertainment, said:

Being such an important franchise for IDW Entertainment, we hope to have an announcement regarding the Locke & Key series in the near future.”

Where would YOU like to see Joe Hill’s Locke & Key end up? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on FacebookTwitter, and/or Instagram!

The pilot is directed by Andy Muschietti and stars Frances O’Connor, Danny Glover, Jack Mulhern, Jackson Robert Scott, Megan Charpentier, Owen Teague, and Nate Corddry. Carlton Cuse (Bates Motel) acts as showrunner.

The show will (hopefully) air somewhere in 2018.

Synopsis:

A trio of siblings move to their ancestral home in Maine with their mother only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys and will stop at nothing to attain them.
