And Now There’s an Official Casting For IT: CHAPTER TWO’s Adult Stanley

Earlier today, we reported that James Ransone was locked down to play adult Eddie Kaspbrak in Andy Muschietti’s horror sequel It: Chapter Two. Now, Variety has revealed that Andy Bean (Here and Now, Allegiant) is confirmed to play adult Stanley Uris in the sequel. He joins the previously confirmed Jessica Chastain, who will play Beverly Marsh, and Bill Skarsgard, who returns as Pennywise. To our knowledge, James McAvoy and Bill Hader are still in talks, although it’s looking very likely, to play Bill and Richie, respectively.

Muschietti will be directing based on a script by Gary Dauberman (Annabelle: Creation) with a planned release date of September 6, 2019, almost two years to the day after the release of the first film.

It was a massive success, earning just over $700 million globally against a $35 million budget. That film starred Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton, Owen Teague, Javier Botet, and Steven Williams.
