Ruby Modine Returns for Blumhouse’s HAPPY DEATH DAY 2?

As strange as it may sound, Ruby Modine will reprise her role as Lori Spengler in Blumhouse’s in Happy Death Day 2 opposite Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Suraj Sharma, and Sarah Yarkin.
Yes, Variety reports Modine will return and as little sense as this makes, I guess all is well and good considering star Jessica Rothe said a few months back that the sequel was going to be “a Back to the Future type of genre film.”
So I guess if time-loops were the name of the game in the original, time-traveling is the thing this time around. Fair enough. I’ll buy it. We’ll let you know once we hear more.

The original film was directed by Christopher Landon from a screenplay he wrote with Scott Lobdell. The film stars Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken, and Rachel Matthews.
Happy Death Day 2 starts shooting in New Orleans in two weeks.
