Troma Casting ‘Spiritual Sequel’ to TROMEO & JULIET

Looks like good old Lloyd Kaufman and his Troma team are currently casting their spiritual sequel to the James Gunn-penned Tromeo & Juliet.
This new film is called William Shakespeare’s Shitstrom (yeah, you read that right) and being that it’s based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest, I guess that’s a good enough reason to tie it to Tromeo and his Juliet.
“This could quite possibly be my last movie, and to some, my first movie,” Kaufman says. “Michael Herz, The Troma Team, and I are extremely excited to officially open the cast and crew call for ‘Shakespeare’s Shitstorm’!”
He continues: “This movie, being a spiritual sequel to ‘Tromeo & Juliet’, will be Troma’s second take on the Bard. Contact tempest@troma.com if you’d like to be in and/or work on ‘Shakespeare’s Shitstorm’!”
Like I said, the film is currently casting with Troma putting the word out over on Twitter, so you can check out the casting notice below and maybe throw your hat into the ring!
