What Does Original SUSPIRIA Star Think of the Remake?

It was just the other day that we let you guys know the upcoming remake of Suspiria f*cked star Dakota Johnston up, and today we have word from the original film’s star Jessica Harper that the new film is “brilliantly scary.”

Harper took to Facebook to let all of us know her thoughts on the upcoming redo of Dario Argento’s classic writing: “I have seen this movie–the most brilliantly scary film I have ever seen. Luca’s Call Me By Your Name does not prepare you for it, but throws into relief the director’s brilliance and versatility…

Nice! I’ve never been against this remake from the start as I don’t mind remakes in general (the original will never change) so I’m even more excited now to check out the redo once it hits.

What about you, are you willing to give this remake a day in court? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

The remake is directed by Luca Guadagnino and stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Mia Goth, Chloë Grace Moretz, Lutz Ebersdorf, and Jessica Harper, star of the original.

There isn’t currently a release date set for the remake.

Suspiria (1977) Synopsis:
Suzy (Jessica Harper) travels to Germany to attend ballet school. When she arrives, late on a stormy night, no one lets her in, and she sees Pat, another student, fleeing from the school. When Pat reaches her apartment, she is murdered. The next day, Suzy is admitted to her new school, but has a difficult time settling in. She hears noises, and often feels ill. As more people die, Suzy uncovers the terrifying secret history of the place.
