Michael Fassbender Being Eyed for Robocop Remake

Just a couple of days ago we brought you a story about José Padilha’s Robocop remake and the direction in which he wants to take it. On tap for you today we have who he wants to take it with!

According to Bleeding Cool Padilha confirms that he plans on shooting in spring of 2012, with dreams of landing Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class, Prometheus) as the new Officer Alex J. Murphy.

Let’s face it; whoever takes the role will be covered in lots of make-up and armor, but a good actor is needed to bring all that to life. Fassbender, like Peter Weller before him (we’ll just forget about Robocop 3, okay?), brings a lot to the table. Tell us what you think of this choice below or who YOU would recommend for the part.
