Thor in Black: Hemsworth’s MEN IN BLACK Actually Happening

Tessa Thompson

I don’t know if you guys are super aware or not, but there is a Men in Black reboot heading our way in the near-future from director F. Gary Gray (Friday) starring Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tessa Thompson (Westworld).

And while on the Avengers: Infinity War red-carpet, Hemsworth spoke with Variety about the upcoming flick and spilled some interesting details.

We’re developing the script now,” Hemsworth says. “We’re basically trying to put a lot of humor into it like the previous ones. These are obviously some big, big shoes to fill, so we’re working our butts off on it to make something pretty epic and fun.”

He continues: “They’re trying to change up the locations, make it feel unique and different to the last ones as well. So I think you might even see some different countries, possibly. Some different cities than you’ve seen in the previous Men In Black movies.”

Co-star Tessa Thompson spoke with Metro saying about the reboot, “It is happening. We’re doing it. It is super happening. Chris Hemsworth and myself are back at them, F. Gary Gray is directing. It is a really fun fantastic script. I really love those movies. I think they hold up. I watched them again recently. I really love themAnd it is taking the ‘Men In Black’ franchise and setting it now and making it global in scope. It is like an international team so you get to see sort of agents across the globe.”
