Trailer: Mary Shelley Starring Elle Fanning and Maisie Williams
This May sees the release of Haifaa Al-Mansour’s biography flick about the author of Frankenstein Mary Shelley. Shelley is played by Elle Fanning in the new movie and is back up by stars such as Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and Bel Powley (Wilding).
Today we have the film’s poster, which you can check out to the right, and the film’s trailer, which can be seen below. Neither are blowing me away but the story is inherently interesting to a horror fan so I will still be checking out the film once it hits this summer.
What about you? Are you excited to check out this new biography flick? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
The film is directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour from a script written by Al-Mansour and Emma Jensen and stars Elle Fanning, Maisie Williams, Douglas Booth, Joanne Froggatt, Stephen Dillane, and Bel Powley. It hits theaters May 25.
Synopsis:
Mary Wollstonecraft’s family disapproves when she and poet Percy Shelley announce their love for each other. The family is horrified when it finds that the couple has eloped, accompanied by Mary’s half-sister, Claire. While staying in the home of Lord Byron at Lake Geneva, the guests are challenged to write a ghost story, which leads Mary to conceive her novel “Frankenstein.”
