Vampyr Story Trailer Ventures To London’s Darkest Corners

We’ve already seen plenty of footage from Dontnod’s Vampyr, but the latest trailer, which focuses primarily on the plight of Doctor Jonathan E. Reid as he slowly transforms into a creature of the night, is by far the most harrowing yet. The song played throughout is “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” by Phlotilla and Mona Najib, which is obviously appropriate given Jonathan’s situation. If this trailer was anything to go by, Vampyr will be such an emotional journey that even the most hardened gamers are likely to shed a tear.
You’ll be able to decide to either give in to your desire for blood or to be of service to humankind when Focus Home Interactive publish Vampyr on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam on June 5. If you pre-order, you’ll have access to bonus in-game items including weapons and costumes. The game will need to sell around one million copies to break even, so you’d better set some cash aside for Vampyr if you want to help it become a success.
