Evidently, Nicolas Cage Thinks He’d Make a Great Joker

Recently it was announced that Martin Scorsese will be producing a Joker origin film with Todd Phillips (The Hangover) writing and directing. At one point, Joaquin Phoenix was rumored for the titular role but now that seems unlikely. But what about Nicolas Cage?
While that name might spring to the top of your list of Actors You Should Play The Joker, Cage sure seems to think it would be fun. In fact, during a recent interview with JoBlo, Cage said the role of Joker would be “perfect” for him.
“I always thought I’d make a great Joker,” Cage tells the site. “It would be the perfect one for me to go even more off the rails than I’ve ever done before and, y’know, it’d be fun.”
I don’t know about you but now I want to see Cage play The Joker ASAP. Even if it’s only for an SNL skit, or a Funny or Die video or something. Make it happen, people!
