Jurassic World 3 Screenwriter Excited About Director Colin Trevorrow’s Return

Emily Carmichael

Last week we let you guys know that Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow will be returning to close out the trilogy with Jurassic World 3. I don’t know how that news sits with you, but someone is excited about the update, co-screenwriter Emily Carmichael.

It’s so great and it’s so exciting, and it means that we have a more integrated process because I’m writing the movie with Colin and I’m writing the movie that he is excited to direct, so we don’t lose work,” Carmichael told CinemaBlend. “We don’t have the situation where the writer builds a bunch of stuff that the director doesn’t want.”

She then continues to say, “I have seen Fallen Kingdom. It’s amazing. I’m very, very excited for people to see it…The progression of the fourth, fifth and sixth films is awesome.”

Carmichael was hired a month or so ago to pen the third film along with Trevorrow based off a story by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, who wrote the first two Jurassic World films.

Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission.

Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
