One of the movies I’m most looking forward to checking out ASAP is director Fritz Bohm’s Wildling starring Liv Tyler and Brad Dourif. The film made a splash at this year’s SXSW and I’m counting down the days until I can check it out.

Speaking of which, today we have a first look gallery of images for you guys, along with the film’s trailer which you can peep below. On top of that, we also have the film’s poster to the right via our buddies at B-D.

Give it all a look and then let us know what you think!

The film is directed by Fritz Bohm from a script he co-wrote with Florian Eder and David C. Palmer. The movie stars Liv Tyler, Bel Powley, and Brad Dourif and is produced by Tyler, Trudie Styler, Celine Rattray, and Charlotte Ubben.

Wildling will be hitting theaters and VOD via IFC Midnight April 13th.

Synopsis:

Young Anna (Powley), who spends her entire childhood in a single room under the care of a mysterious man (Brad Dourif) she only knows as “Daddy.” He makes her fear the “Outside” by telling her of the “Wildling,” a creature with sharp teeth and claws who roams about eating little children.

At age 16, Anna is freed by small-town sheriff Ellen Champney (Tyler), with whom she finds a temporary home. For the first time in her life, Anna experiences the Outside, soon learning there’s no such thing as the Wildling. But as she begins to flourish as a young woman, a series of unsettling events unfold. James LeGros will portray the Wolf Man, an eccentric shaman who lives in the forest.
