SXSW 2018: Jim Gaffigan on the Intersection of Horror and Comedy

One of the best known comedians of this generation, Jim Gaffigan’s work has made countless audiences laugh until their sides hurt. From his appearance in Super Troopers to “The Jim Gaffigan Show”, from his many stand up comedy routines to “My Boys”, Gaffigan’s work manages to blend hilarity with class, as the comedian is often know for the “cleanliness” of his acts. But that’s not what we’re all about!
We got the chance to spend a few minutes with Gaffigan at this year’s SXSW Convention, where he was supporting his upcoming film You Can Choose Your Family. We spoke about the intersection of horror and comedy and what makes the two genres blend so well together. Gaffigan then spoke about some films that he feels really makes that combination work wonderfully, as well as his views on horror in regards to his children.

You Can Choose Your Family stars Jim Gaffigan, Samantha Mathis, Anna Gunn and Logan Miller. The film had its world premiere at SXSW Convention in Austin.
