Amazon and Stephen King’s The Dark Tower TV Series Will Be Much More Faithful to the Books

Last week we let you guys know that Amazon is developing a TV series based on Stephen King’s The Dark Tower book series.
Today we have word via SyFy Wire that, “While the Dark Tower movie was a standalone mish-mosh of King’s eight books, the TV show will be more faithful to the original series.”
Hoo-ray! As much as I loved Idris Elba as The Gunslinger, I found more than a lot to be lacking in the recent The Dark Tower flick. Let’s hope this new Amazon series fixes all that!

Synopsis:
Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), the last Gunslinger, is locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim (Matthew McConaughey), also known as the Man in Black. The Gunslinger must prevent the Man in Black from toppling the Dark Tower, the key that holds the universe together. With the fate of worlds at stake, two men collide in the ultimate battle between good and evil.
