Freak Land Creates Authentic Dead Alive Zombie Baby Replica

Of all the weird and wonderful collectibles I’ve covered over the years, this has got to be one of the most out there yet. Collectible manufacturer Freak Land have produced an authentic replication of the baby from Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive (which is known internationally as Braindead), and I think they’re correct when they refer to it as “The most disgusting baby ever”.

Released in 1992 before Jackson became a corporate sellout, Dead Alive is often cited as being one of the wackiest and goriest zombie movies ever made. The infamous scene featuring protagonist Lionel Cosgrove talking the baby for a stroll in the park was famously shot after Jackson had already completed filming the rest of the movie and realized that he had enough money left over from shooting under budget to add in one more scene. He subsequently called the park scene his favorite of the whole film.

If you’ve seen the film, you can clearly see that Freak Land’s replica looks pretty much identical, right down to the mohawk hairstyle. I’m not sure if I would want this thing in my house, but if you would like to add this freakish doll to your horror collection, you can order it from Freak Land’s website, with deliveries expected to ship in March. There aren’t many left in stock, so you might want to hurry.
