Beautiful Indie Game The Wardrobe Opening On Switch And PS4

We were one of the few news outlets to have covered the hand drawn indie game The Wardrobe when it was originally released on Steam last year, but a lot more people are soon going to be aware of the beautiful-looking title, as publishers Adventure Productions and MixedBag are teaming up to bring it to both the Switch and the PS4.

As you can see in the gallery below, The Wardrobe’s art-style is clearly something to be admired, and the game’s plot is equally strange and unique. Whilst on a picnic with his best friend Ronald, a teenage boy named Skinny ate a plum without realizing that he was severely allergic to it, and died as a result. Instead of passing on to the next world or doing whatever it is people are supposed to do when they die (which in all honestly, is probably absolutely nothing) his skeletal form is instead forced to remain on Earth to act as Ronald’s guardian angel. Weird, huh?

If you’re a fan of old school point and click adventure games like the Monkey Island and the Sam & Max franchise, the trailer and gameplay videos below will probably bring a smile to your face. The Wardrobe was originally developed by C.I.N.I.C. Games, and the console version does not yet have a confirmed release date, so watch this space for now.
