Special Los Angeles Screening of A Horrible Way To Die

Post Thumb:

Hey there City of Angels, hold on to your collective hat. Yeah, here on the East Coast Doctor Gash got rumbled by an earthquake last Tuesday and a hit with a hurricane on the weekend, but you guys are in for a storm of your own with a special pre-DVD release one-night only theatrical screening of A Horrible Way To Die.

On Saturday, September 3, the Cinefamily Theater in Los Angeles will be hosting a 7pm screening of Anchor Bay Entertainment’s new serial killer horror flick A Horrible Way To Die. The film will be followed by a special Q&A session with director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett at approximately 8:40 pm. Not a bad deal. A sick horror movie and a look into the minds of the guys who created it to boot!

If you’re unable to attend the screening, fear not, the DVD and Blu-ray release of A Horrible Way To Die (damn that title is kick-ass and the movie poster ain’t bad either. I’m excited!) is September 6. But come on, you’ve got a chance to see it on the big screen, LA. Don’t pass it up!

Named one of Movieline’s Most Anticipated Films of 2011, Anchor Bay Films releases the atmospheric thriller A Horrible Way To Die on September 6th.

In the film directed by award-winning director Adam Wingard (Pop Skull), notorious serial killer Garrick Turrell (AJ Bowen, House of the Devil, Hatchet II) has just escaped police custody and resumed his killing spree. His former girlfriend and recovering alcoholic Sarah (Amy Seimetz, Alexander the Last) has recently moved to a small Midwestern town and is trying to put her life back together. She regularly attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, where she meets fellow addict Kevin (Joe Swanberg). Kevin is romantically interested in Sarah, but she remains withdrawn: her past continues to haunt her and may soon catch up with her, as Garrick is leaving a trail of bodies in his hunt to find her…

A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE has played at such prestigious film festivals including Sitges, the Toronto International Film Festival and Fantastic Fest.
