Mother Heads to Toronto
Dario Argento … ah, the fond memories. The man is unstoppable and always seems to breathe fresh air into things, like the second season of Masters of Horror. But it’s been such a long time since one of his familiar films has been on the silver screen. This dry spell, thankfully, is quickly drawing to an end.
Over at the Toronto Film Festival’s blog they finally announced one of the last entries for this year’s Midnight Madness line-up: Mother of Tears (Poster & Trailer – July 20, 2007)! Dario Argento’s last part of the Three Mothers trilogy has finally arrived, and all you need to see it early is a passport and a plane ticket for the 6th of September.
Dario’s daughter Asia Argento stars in the follow-up to Suspiria and Inferno as young student Sarah Mandy. During an archaeological search in Rome she accidentally unleashes an evil priestess spirit who leaves death, disaster and darkness in her wake. Can Sarah put an end to the Age of Witches?
