So what if it’s the weekend and we should be taking it easy like the rest of the planet?! When news breaks, we’re here no matter what to get it to you. If only because we’re a bunch of maniacs with OCD.

In any event, while Paco Plaza’s [REC] 3: Genesis is now in post, co-creator of the unlikely franchise, Jaume Balagueró, took to Twitter today to announce that [REC] 4: Apocalypse is now in pre-production.

Details on the fourth film are slim, but we do know that this fourth entry will be the final one of the franchise. Lord knows we’ve heard that before. Stay tuned.
