I don’t’ know about you guys, but I’m a big fan of the kid’s horror flick Hocus Pocus starring Bette Midler. So much so that I was looking forward to the TV remake coming soon.

Until today that is… today we have word that the original film’s star Bette Midler is against the idea of the remake and will not show her support in any fashion.

“I know it’s cheap. It’s going to be cheap!” Midler told People. “I’m not sure what they’re going to do with my character. My character is very, very broad and I don’t know who they’re going to find to play that.”

When asked if she would return for the right dollar amount, she quickly replied: “No, no, no!”

Even though Midler and her fellow Sanderson Sisters Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker are out of the remake, there is still talk that “original cast have expressed interest in taking part of the reboot.”

The Hocus Pocus remake is written by Scarlett Lacey and the original film’s producer David Kirschner (Child’s Play franchise) has signed on to produce this reboot.
