One of the things you may not be aware of in the making of a TV series is that the shows must have something called a “Pitch Bible.” This is a chance for the creators to present a potential studio what the overall story, tone, characters, and franchise potential of any given series.

Well, The Duffer Brother’s created one for their hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”, and it is amazing.

Written and presented as an old-school paperback horror novel, this is just the kind of thing that all of our Dread Central readers who are familiar with the works of Grady Hendrix will love to death.

The devil, after all, is in the details.

You can check out two sample pics below (the series was originally pitched with the title “Montauk”) and then you can view the entire pitch bible right HERE. Enjoy!

The new season of “Stranger Things” kicks off October 27th on Netflix.

About “Stranger Things” Season 2:
It’s 1984, and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana, are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down; but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.
