The Walking Dead Red Machete Digital Series Launches; Watch Chapter 1 Now

Remember back in “The Walking Dead” Season 5 when Rick (Andrew Lincoln) hacked up cannibal Gareth (Andrew J. West) with a machete – just as he promised he’d do to the vile leader of Terminus? Well, as a supplement to Season 8 of the show, AMC is releasing “The Walking Dead Red Machete,” a digital series that follows the path of Rick’s red-handled machete from its innocent beginnings on a hardware store shelf at the start of the apocalypse as it lands in the hands of survivors good and evil, familiar and new.
New installments of the five-part “Red Machete” will be available throughout the season on AMC apps for mobile and devices, amc.com, and YouTube.
Don’t forget to tune in TONIGHT for “The Walking Dead” Episode 8.01, “Mercy,” which is also the show’s 100th ep. It runs a bit longer than an hour so make sure your DVR’s are set correctly!
