From the Press Release:
Glass Eye Pix, the prolific maverick production company responsible for a vast slate of captivating independent genre movies including The Last Winter, I Sell the Dead, The House of the Devil, Stake Land, Darling, and the upcoming Most Beautiful Island, announces the release of the highly anticipated fourth season of the sensory-rich genre audio drama TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE.

Larry Fessenden and Glenn McQuaid’s audio series is back with ten tales to keep you awake at night. Season 4 is a compilation of shows performed one time only—live before audiences in Los Angeles, Colorado, and Montreal from 2014 to 2015. Each show was accompanied by live music, foley, and sound design to create compelling, diverse, and startling stories of the macabre, featuring werewolves, ghosts, vampires, possessed dolls and records, memory vampires, and subterranean carnivores. The lineup includes:

  • TALES WE TELL Parts I & II written by Glenn McQuaid, Clay McLeod Chapman, and Larry Fessenden
  • THE MATTRESS KING written by Clay McLeod Chapman
  • CONVICTION written by Glenn McQuaid
  • THE VAMPIRE PARTY written by Larry Fessenden
  • COLD READING written by Glenn McQuaid and April Snellings
  • NO SIGNAL written by Larry Fessenden
  • HIDDEN RECORDS written by Douglas Buck
  • SPEAKING IN TONGUES written by Glenn McQuaid and April Snellings
  • BARRICADE written by Larry Fessenden

Season 4 features the voice talents of Tony Todd, Kate Flannery, Barbara Crampton, Leon Vitale, Lance Reddick, A.J. Bowen, Pat Healey, Joshua Leonard, Martin Starr, Ana Asensio, Cooper Roth, Samuel Zimmerman, Jeremy Gardner, Roxanne Benjamin, Larry Fessenden, and others.

With 42 audio dramas under its belt, TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE pushes the format beyond the origins of old time radio, offering listeners an immersive auditory experience. All 10 tales will be released in a lavishly illustrated hardcover book with a USB key containing the tales and will be available as digital downloads on traditional platforms. All Season 4 poster images have been illustrated by artist Trevor Denham.

McQuaid says, “From the mayhem of taking the show on the road, to the dusting off and mastering, these tales represent five years of blood, sweat, and tears. This season was made possible by our friends at the various festivals who invited us out to play with them, and by the fans of the show who came out to hear us on tour.”

Fessenden adds, “This season has a great diversity of subject matter because Glenn and I were trying to respond to the specific locations we were traveling to. We’ve assembled these tales to celebrate the live experience, and the season becomes a chronicle of our time on the road.”

Fessenden and McQuaid joined forces with producer Jenn Wexler and technicians John Moros and Lee Nusbaum. Musical collaborators Graham Reznick and Chrome Canyon also make multiple appearances. Eric Romary provides addition sound design, mixing, and mastering to finalize the tales.

Season Four of TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE can be found on major platforms starting on Friday the 13th of October (click here to order it from Amazon). Seasons 1, 2, and 3 are currently available on iTunes, Audible, Amazon, and through TalesFromBeyondThePale.com, where you’ll also find more information and the latest news.
