Syfy has already kicked-off their annual “31 Days of Halloween” and with that includes the weekend world premieres of several new original horror movies. The first of which, House of the Witch, begins spooking the airwaves this Saturday night.

Kind of odd that of all the new Syfy Halloween flicks debuting this month this one seems to be the one with the least amount of info out there – not even so much as a trailer. Expect to hear more about the upcoming Syfy “31 Days of Halloween” world premiere movies as their airdates approach; assuming, that is, Syfy actually bothers to promote them, unlike this one airing in just a few days. That’s usually not a good sign.

Emily Bader, Darren Mann, and Arden Belle star in this Marvista Entertainment fright fest in which once again teenagers fail to heed the warning about staying away from that dark spooky house at the edge of town.

It is Halloween night in small town USA and a group of high school kids dare to have a party in the old, abandoned house at the edge of town. It’s a house that everyone says is haunted. The fun comes to a grinding halt when the kids discover they’re trapped inside. Doors no longer lead to the outside, windows won’t break, hallways go around in circles, and something evil is in the house with them. What started out as a dare turns serious as they find themselves psychologically and physically tortured, and the more they try to escape, the worse it gets. At the heart of the haunting is a demonic witch that won’t stop terrorizing them until they are all dead. Will they be able to find the secrets hidden in the house to stop the witch’s wrath, or will they all meet their fate before the night ends?

House of the Witch makes its world premiere on Syfy this Saturday night at 9/8 Central.

Or, you can just rent Hell House, LLC on VOD.

Just sayin’.
