A new face may be making its way to one of the most terrifying franchises the horror genre has ever seen, and we’ve got the early word on whether or not its owner will be able to keep it! Read on to see who could be joining the family!
According to Variety, Percy Jackson & the Olympians star Alexandra Daddario (pictured right) is in final negotiations to play the female lead, Leatherface’s cousin Heather, in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. She joins the previously announced Bill Moseley.
John Luessenhop (Takers) is directing the pic, which is a reimagining that picks up after Tobe Hooper’s original 1974 horror classic. Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan co-wrote the script, which was polished by Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop.
If the above is true, then that negates the other supposed plot details that had the film set in the present. We’ll try and get to the bottom of all of these conflicting reports for you as soon as we can.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is scheduled for an October 5th, 2012 release. More soon.
