Mikael Hafstrom to Helm Wake for Hammer Films

Director Mikael Hafstrom is moving from The Rite to a Wake for Hammer Films. Exclusive Media Group will produce and finance the project, which was written by Christopher Borrelli with a new draft by Matt Sand.
According to Variety Hammer will produce the film alongside Circle of Confusion, H2F, and Slingshot. David Alpert of Circle of Confusion and Chris Cowles of H2F will produce; and Stephen Emery of Circle of Confusion, H2F’s Chris Fenton, and Slingshot’s Arvind Ethan David are executive producers.
Exclusive Films International will handle worldwide sales. and the project is being overseen by Shira Rockowitz on behalf of Hammer and Exclusive.
Wake tells the story of a modern-day Jekyll and Hyde who knows no bounds — one of the 3% of all men who are considered sociopaths, lacking concern for the well being of others or for the consequences of their actions and one of the 1% of all men born without the emotional capability to experience fear.
